Can I use insurance to pay for therapy?
I understand the importance of making therapy accessible. While I do not accept insurance directly, I work with Thrizer* to offer the option to pay for therapy using your out of network benefits. For more information about Thrizer and what this process looks like go to: https://www.thrizer.com/for-clients *I work with Thrizer strictly for the benefit of clients. I do not get any additional compensation if you choose to sign up
Why don't you accept insurance?
In order to maintain the highest quality of care for my clients I have chosen not to work with insurance providers. This allows me to offer personalized treatment without the constraints of insurance policies. This also enables me to keep all health records completely confidential. Therapy should be a space for open communication and trust, and this approach allows me to focus solely on your needs and goals.
What is a 'good faith estimate'?
As of January 1, 2022, health care providers are required to provide an estimate of anticipated healthcare costs to anyone not using insurance. You have the right to dispute charges if you are billed at $400 least over the estimate. Learn more at: https://www.cms.gov/medical-bill-rights
What payment options do you accept?
For Connecticut clients I currently accept debit cards and most major credit cards. I do not accept cash, check or bank transfer.
